1. Independent Community Status
Murrayites.com is a non-governmental, unofficial community portal created, owned, and maintained voluntarily by alumni of Govt Murray College Sialkot. We are not an official branch of the college administration or the Higher Education Department.
2. Information We Collect
To maintain the integrity and security of the alumni network, we collect:
- Account Credentials: Full name, verified email address, and hashed password.
- Academic Verification: Roll number, degree obtained, graduation year, department, and student/degree cards (stored in protected off-web encrypted vaults).
- Professional Profile: Current city, country, company, designation, industry, and social media handles (LinkedIn, GitHub, etc.).
- Security Telemetry: IP addresses and timestamps for logins to provide instant security notification alerts.
3. Member Privacy Controls
Every member retains full control over their public exposure:
- Directory Visibility: You can toggle whether your profile is searchable in the public alumni directory.
- Contact Masking: Phone numbers and emails are masked by default and only shown if you explicitly opt-in.
- Profile Updates: Profile changes are verified to prevent impersonation or unauthorized alterations.
4. Zero Commercial Data Sale
We never sell, rent, or monetize alumni data to third-party advertisers or recruitment agencies. Any sponsored community placements (such as Google AdSense) operate strictly via standard privacy-safe contextual scripts.
5. Data Deletion & Rights
Alumni have the right to request full removal of their accounts and documents by contacting our community administrator at admin@murrayites.com.
